The Job
- Inspect the facility to report, closeout/escalate any possibility for the occurrence of accidents, fire outbreaks, and hazards to ensure prompt response and preventive resolution.
- Monitor the operations within the factory to ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and communicate corrections where variations exist.
- Check the facility to ascertain that all environmental and safety equipment are in ready-to-use condition and also report each status as routinely required.
- Provide general support and assistance to the Health and Safety Department
- Advice and counsel employees on the implication of maintaining a safe working environment and complying with safe work ethics.
Qualifications
- OND In related disciplines
- 5 O’ level credits including English & Mathematics in not more than 2 sittings.

The Job
- Record stock of Raw materials at the beginning and closing of shift.
- Ensure that the silo area and plant machinery are kept in a high level of cleanliness.
- Notify Quality Control Department on truck arrival for sample collection and analysis.
- Ensure that the way bills are signed by the shift manager and cross-check that the truck is empty after discharge on a shift basis.
- Reports any outstanding faults and pending works on silo operation.
- Ensure that all bulk semolina trucks are weighed before and after (scale-out) discharge, the truck is positioned/parked at an appropriate marked point before discharging.
- Report quality issues relating to semolina received to the superiors i.e. (high base semolina, weevil infested, wet, change in color).
