Responsibilities

As a Field Services Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes Health, Safety & Environment policies, Legal Compliance requirements and our core values.
  • Learning and going extra-mile in following the mentor’s guidance and instructions.
  • Carrying out all assigned duties by the mentor diligently including training activities, assignments, and assessment to monitor growth & development.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in Mechanical, Electrical, Control or Electronics.
  • Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country.
  • Be fluent in oral and written English and the ability to work well and communicate with others.
  • Have the legal right to work without restrictions in the country you have applied.

Technical Requirements:

  • Must be prepared to travel onshore and offshore up to 70% of the time, transport options can be provided.
  • Can have limited knowledge of the oil and gas industry, specific on the job technical training will be offered.
  • Willing to learn how to execute maintenance/installation of rotating equipment and assist the others crew members in performing the assigned scope of work in the field at customer sites.
  • Primarily interacts with assigned mentor, direct supervisor, and other specialists in the team.

  • The role will work closely with the functions and operations within the region and will be based in SSA.

Responsibilities

As a Specialist – Paralegal, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and drafting of corporate governance matters for designated subsidiaries and branches in SSA
  • Coordinating and conducting board and shareholder meetings, minute taking and arranging for filling with the relevant internal and external registers.
  • Drafting and delivering supporting corporate documents to be used for bids, treasury requirements and other worldwide company operational needs.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the regional legal entity data in the database.
  • Ensuring all legal entities in scope are compliant with applicable laws and internal governance standards.
  • Working closely with headquarters to help implement different projects and gain adoption across all of Baker Hughes in the relevant region.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Have paralegal experience as company secretary in a law firm or legal department.
  • Be able to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience performing legal research, analyzing and recommending solutions to issues of legal entity governance;
  • Show the ability to work independently in an ethical and compliant manner.
  • Be a Team player, proactive attitude, flexible to meet tight deadlines and able to perform well under pressure.
  • Display excellent written and verbal skills for communicating complex legal content to a range of audiences in English.
  • Have experience with SSA regulations related to the maintenance of legal entities and branches.
