Description
- · Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of servers.
- · Install and upgrade server components and software, manage virtual servers and integrate automation processes
- · Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
- · Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- · Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- · Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
- · Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- · Troubleshoot issues and outages
- · Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- · Upgrade systems with new releases and model
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of System Administration experience
- Experience with cloud services (Microsoft Azure)
- Experience with Unified Communications Solutions (Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, E1 and GSM Gateways).
- Experience with Backup, High Availability, and Replication
- IT certifications in Linux and Microsoft
- Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
- Experience with monitoring and Management Tools – SCCM, Azure Log Analytics/OMS
- Experience with security tools – Azure ATP, Microsoft Defender Security Center
- Experience with implementing and effectively developing IT Operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
- Experience with virtualization, Hyper-V and VMWare.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (Microsoft PowerShell).
