Job Title: Cost Accountant

Job Description
- Provides cost estimates, materials estimates for projects while rendering support to the project manager as and when due.
- Accountable for monitoring the progress of project Post and process Journal to ensure all business transactions entries to ensure all business transactions are processed, cash handling, and report preparation.
- Collaborate with The Accounts Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks.
- Monitor automated stock movements received, validating and resolving any transactions failure.
- Preparing tax payments, identifying tax savings, and analyzing tax issues.
- Prepares tax returns and documentation, following all federal, state, and local tax laws. etc, investigating variances, and getting approvals for applicators’ expenses.
- Responsible for managing the financial activities that occur throughout a project’s lifecycle.
- Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions.
- Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-orders, payables, receivables, and purchase orders.
- Update project stock and applicators records.
- Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors, and vendors.
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Prepare and submit weekly / monthly reports applicably.
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Ensure proper management of the company’s inventory/stock items
- Responsible for conducting physical stock counts, performing regular stock reconciliations, and overall monitoring of stock transactions.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree qualification with a minimum of 3 years of work experience.
