Job Title: Classroom Teacher

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
• Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
• Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, etc.)
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
• Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
• Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse, etc.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, etc

Requirements

• Proven experience as a teacher
• Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures
• Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
• Well-organized and committed
• Creative and energetic
• Strong moral values and discipline
• Knowledge of CPR
• Degree in Teaching or in a specialized subject with a certificate in education.

Job Title: Nursery Teacher

Job Description

• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to all students in the class;
• Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievement of the individual students and groups of students;
• Adopting and working towards the implementation of the school development plan of the particular school they are giving service in;
• Assigning work, correcting and marking work carried out by his/her students;
• Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment, and behavior of one’s students;
• Providing or contributing to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students or groups of students;
• Promoting the general progress and well-being of individual students, groups of students or class entrusted to him/her;

Requirements

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Research for textbooks, software, equipment, or other learning materials to complement tutoring.
• Prepare course materials such as syllabus, homework assignments, and lesson notes.
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curriculum, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
• Maintain records of students’ assessment results, progress, feedback, or school performance, ensuring the confidentiality of all records.
• Develop teaching or training materials, such as handouts, study materials, or quizzes.
• Proficient in the use of the computer and the internet(desirable).
• Must possess leadership, student-centered teaching, and excellent communication skills
• Competent in the field/areas of specialization.
• Effective written and communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.Ed, in Subject Areas/ related discipline or B.sc with PGDE in a related discipline.
• Knowledge of the Cambridge Standard will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3years experience in teaching.
