An Accountant Needed
A company is looking for an experienced Accountant.
Job Title: Accountant
Location: Lagos
Salary: 200,000
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects month-end and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time
- Manage the financial team to achieve company goals
- Develop the overall corporate financial goals and objectives
- Oversee preparation of financial records related to the general ledger, payroll, budget, expense, etc
- Follow standard accounting process for financial analysis and reporting activities
- Develop and manage the budgeting system
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and other financial related problems
- Manage all client accounts for payment settlements
- Keep informed about the latest developments in the insurance and finance industry
Qualification
- University degree in Accounting
- 4-6 years of proven work experience in a similar role
- Membership with a professional body is an advantage
- Knowledge of the insurance industry
- Reliable and self-motivated, good communication skills, strong leadership qualities
- Budget management experience and proficiency in Excel and accounting software
