- In this role, you will be responsible for leading new customer implementations for the contract logistics business, bridging the sales and operational activities, to ensure a smooth transition of the new or additional business into the organization.
Project Management:
- Manage risks rigorously from sales opportunity to stable operation
- Set expectations and get an agreement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and evaluate the success criteria for the project and adjust solutions and timelines
- Successfully “close” implementations based on mutually defined criteria between Maersk and the client (external) and operations (internal).
- Prepare and drive the overall implementation project plan
- Proactively manage the delivery of other involved parties (IT, operational suppliers, etc).
Client Relationship Management:
- Lead the client through the on-boarding process
- Strictly manage scope with clients and ensure the solution implemented stays in line with the solution sold.
Commercial Engagement:
- Review operational viability of complex opportunities as part of the OMEB/Sales process
- Contribute to securing new business wins by actively engaging in the sales process.
Operational Management:
- Ensure operations are optimized and warehousing services are delivered under the highest service quality possible.
- Detailed process flows, SOPs and IOPs.
- WMS, IT & EDI integration.
- Client and vendor training and introduction.
- KPI reporting and performance management routines.
- Ensure initial SOP/IOP compliance
- Ensure infrastructure deployment for new client solutions is in place including:
- Recruitment and training of staff.
Requirements
- Strong WND knowledge with experience in the Implementation of New Warehouses

- This role is to drive, implement, and sustain Continuous Improvement initiatives and activities in the Area across Contract Logistics sites and operations. This includes supporting performance management, anchoring and facilitating training, and deploying process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Contract Logistics Management Team to define local KPIs and ensure performance management cycles/tools are in place and followed across the CL Operations.
- Implement and sustain Continuous Improvement initiatives and activities across the Area.
- Act as a change agent in order to develop and implement a systematic approach to continuous and sustainable improvement.
- Coordinate and review all functional excellence activities in Area and develop change management strategies to ensure successful implementation and adoption of changes.
- Sustain CI deployment and maturity in the site’s teams in coordination with CEN and Product owners.
- Act as a true ambassador for CI in and articulate the advantages and how to deliver a better service to our customers at a lower cost.
- Lead workshops, training, meetings, and events, with sites teams to promote/execute standardization and CI, and bridge gaps between expectations and reality.
- Together with the local sites leadership team, analyze the ‘as is in terms of customer satisfaction, process standardization, and execution, functional organization, wastes, inefficiencies, etc: Identify current process and/or gaps and propose solutions to improve outcomes.

- This is for stand-alone WnD solutions as well as part of global supply chain solutions (CFS, e-com,).
Business Development:
- Expand business footprint while ensuring profitable growth
- Based on customer needs, identify new sites/facilities to expand warehouse footprint.
- Execution of WND strategy for the area in alignment with CEN
- Business development aligned with strategy
- Manage WND development including building a business case, getting approval, and managing local implementation.
Customer engagement:
- Lead area tender response for WnD
- Provide sales support for WnD in the region
- Support tender pricing within the established framework
- Own operational viability of complex opportunities as part of the OMEB/Sales process
- Support of WnD as part of supply chain solution design
- Support of local opportunity management
Client Relationship Management:
- Owner of an area footprint and lifecycle of global WND products
- Manage local WnD products within the framework
- Support to grow WnD footprint in the area through constant review in order to enable profitable growth
Collaborate and Ownership:
- Support JV framework and JV management
- The support feedback loop on innovation
- Provide support and area ownership of the idea process
- Regional support for transformation progress
