We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Senior Associate, Human Resources

Location: Kano
Employment Type: Full-Time National Employee
Minimum Experience: Manager / Supervisor

Purpose of the Position

  • The Senior Associate, Human Resources will support a comprehensive and exhaustive process of sourcing, screening, and recruiting candidates.
  • She/he will work closely and support the Talent Acquisition team in the Human Resources Department on full-cycle recruiting.
  • The Senior Associate, Human Resources will have the knowledge of what motivates, engages, and retains employees, and will use these to shape engagement activities and keep abreast of industry best practices and innovations.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team in identifying staffing needs.
  • Support interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews.
  • Effectively utilize tools such as search engines, job boards, LinkedIn, and social channels to source candidates with required talent.
  • Promote gender and diversity in the workplace and ensure recruiting strategies attract diverse candidates.
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  • Demonstrate the eHA values and develop new ways of working where appropriate to maximize business impact.
  • Participates in and promotes a positive, supportive, cooperative team environment.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings, training classes, and supervision.
  • Adheres to Policies and Procedures.
  • Adheres to eHealth Africa Code of Conduct as well as ethical standards of the field.
  • Maintains Recruitment dashboard and keeps track of all recruitment actions plans and metrics.
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using eHA’s HRIS platform.
  • Support activities involving employer branding initiatives.
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Maintain talent pipelines with potential candidates and past applicants for future staffing needs.

Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform this job:

  • B.Sc Degree in a related field and professional certification is required.
  • A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years cognate experience, NGO experience is an added advantage.
  • Must have the ability to manage conflicts and resolve problems effectively.
  • Maintain dialogue with others on work and deliverables, read situations quickly make and stand behind tough decisions.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency working with ATS software and Google drive (especially across organizational projects).
  • English is the spoken and written language.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of an organization.
  • Ability to analyze information quickly and use it to make robust decisions.
  • Experience in Nigeria employment law and compliance; employee relations; compensation; performance management; HRIS; compensation and benefits; and workforce and succession planning is an added advantage.
  • Highly motivated with an enthusiasm for employee engagement and a desire to seek out new ways to engage with employees.

Job Title: Manager, Laboratory System

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-Time National Employee
Minimum Experience: Manager / Supervisor

Purpose of the Position

  • The Manager, Laboratory System will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of eHA’s laboratory system strengthening initiatives.
  • This includes research, assessment, and contribution to new business development opportunities.
  • She/he will also facilitate the formulation of research studies, prepare Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, write research grant proposals, and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
  • The Manager Laboratory System acts in accordance with organizational and project-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, budgets, timelines, and contracts, and assists with managing project budgets, tracking against milestones.
  • The individual may lead and/or manage a partial or full project team(s).

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Provides eHealth Africa Senior Management and Program Management Team with strategic guidance on infectious disease epidemiology and associated laboratory testing.
  • Support current laboratory priorities and design roadmap for laboratory systems strengthening investments with support from the Program Manager.
  • Identifies and assists in the preparation of research grant proposals, RFIs, clinical study protocols, IRB applications, and capacity statements.
  • Data collection and management include creating SOPs for data collection, creating databases, overseeing data collection in the field, and conducting data monitoring.
  • Analyzing data, using standard epidemiological methods.
  • Assists with identification and selection of vendors for LSS projects and provides quality assurance oversight.
  • Active participation in laboratory technical working groups and other stakeholder meetings.
  • May frequently travel between company work-sites.
  • Some international travel may be required.
  • Adheres to eHealth Africa Code of Conduct, applicable policies & procedures, as well as ethical standards of the field.
  • Lead assessments of laboratory capacity to identify gaps and actions required for laboratory systems strengthening in collaboration with partners.
  • Provide both strategic and technical direction for all laboratory initiatives, overseeing its development and assuming responsibility for high-quality delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the laboratory space, including with the WHO AFRO, Ministry of Health, subnational level laboratories, and public health partners.
  • Contribute to initiatives towards laboratory systems digitalization

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

  • B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Science or in a related field.
  • Relevant professional certification would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, at least 2 years in a managerial role; NGO experience is an added advantage.
  • Adherence to defined policies and procedures, monitor and evaluate direct reports.
  • Exposure to healthcare and/or health systems strengthening and/or experience working on public health projects.
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects and proactively manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • High level of confidentiality and knowledge of research ethics.
  • Strong leadership skills, including good problem-solving skills and the ability to inspire confidence in teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with a strong aptitude for succinctly presenting thoughts and ideas to senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Action-oriented and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) skills and communication (written and verbal) skills, including the ability to prepare and present compelling presentations and program planning and memo documents.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with creative thinking capabilities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Laboratory and diagnostics-related experience, either in a programmatic or clinical setting.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting laboratory systems and networks.
  • Project management experience will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience working in resource-limited settings.
  • Familiarity with laboratory support systems (e.g. supply chain management, lab information system, and quality assurance program).
