Africa Youth Growth Foundation is a regional Non-Governmental Organization in Abuja for youth growth, development, and empowerment, with a mission of building an African society through constructive engagement with stakeholders to expand opportunities for self-development and realization among the youth.

We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Locations: Kogi, Niger

Education and Experience / Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in Human Resources in the NGO sector is required.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, educate, and coach colleagues.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations and privacy.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Job Title: Nutrition Specialist

Locations: Kogi, and Niger

Education and Experience/Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Public Health / Nutrition) with a minimum of 15 years of experience;
  • Demonstrated experience of working on nutrition-related issues with multi-sectoral teams in developing countries. Experience from African countries will be an asset;
  • Familiarity with analytical tools and ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical approaches for operational work; and
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English. Knowledge of other Nigerian languages will be an asset.

Job Title: Manager – Procurement and Logistics

Locations: Kogi, Niger

Education and Experience / Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Sciences, Social Sciences with training in procurement, logistics and supply chain management;
  • At least 10 years’ experience in procurement planning and management in private sector/international organizations;
  • Demonstrated experience of efficiently and efficaciously completing procurement of health-sector goods and commodities;
  • Knowledge and ability to work on ICT tools for inventory management, logistics and supply chain management;
  • Knowledge of completing procurement in Nigeria or FCV Countries;
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English;
  • Strong credibility and integrity in this domain.

Job Title: Manager – Finance and Account

Locations: Kogi, Niger

Education and Experience / Qualifications
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (Accounting professional qualification is essential) with a minimum of 10 years of experience;
  • At least 7 years of experience in a bi-lateral or multi-lateral agency financed project in Nigeria (or an African country);
  • Knowledge and expertise in the field of project preparation, commercial negotiations, financial management, internal controls/systems development, accounting, 8 auditings and reporting; and
  • The ability to solve problems efficaciously exercising good judgment will be an asset.

Job Title: Manager – Monitoring Evaluation and Learning

Locations: Kogi, Niger

Education and Experience / Qualification
  • Master’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Demography, Anthropology, Development Planning, Social Work, Epidemiology or related subjects of similar scope;
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience of monitoring and evaluation in public health/nutrition or any large social sector programs;
  • In-depth knowledge of M & E techniques and methodologies including knowledge of conducting operations research, household surveys, and qualitative assessments; data analysis, interpretation, and reporting; and
  • Proficient with analytical tools and software such as Stata, SPSS, MS Excel, etc. Knowledge of other Nigerian languages will be an asset

Job Title: Communications Manager

Locations: Abuja, Kogi, Niger

Education and Experience/Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in a similar role and working environment is required.
  • Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques including social media management is required.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Job Title: Community Mobilization and Engagement Manager

Locations: Kogi, Niger

Education and Experience / Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Public Administration or Political Science or Social Science or Law or International Relations or Business Administration or relevant field is required etc.)
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in humanitarian activities and/or public works and/or food security and/or community mobilization or related area is required.
  • Knowledge of local community development principles, trends, and policies in Nigeria is an asset
  • Experience in community development, and civic engagement, strong written and oral communication skills in English, Knowledge of other Nigerian languages, and people management will be an asset.

Job Title: Project Director

Locations: Kogi, Niger

Education and Experience / Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nutrition, Public Health or equivalent, Sociology, MBA);
  • At least 15 years of experience managing development projects, preferably in African countries with a strong focus on field implementation;
  • Experience managing projects with a focus on behavior change would be an asset; and
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) in English.
