Description

  • · Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of servers.
  • · Install and upgrade server components and software, manage virtual servers and integrate automation processes
  • · Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
  • · Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • · Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • · Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
  • · Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • · Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • · Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • · Upgrade systems with new releases and model

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of System Administration experience
  • Experience with cloud services (Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience with Unified Communications Solutions (Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, E1 and GSM Gateways).
  • Experience with Backup, High Availability, and Replication
  • IT certifications in Linux and Microsoft
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
  • Experience with monitoring and Management Tools – SCCM, Azure Log Analytics/OMS
  • Experience with security tools – Azure ATP, Microsoft Defender Security Center
  • Experience with implementing and effectively developing IT Operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Experience with virtualization, Hyper-V and VMWare.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (Microsoft PowerShell).
